Jewelry Care
How long your pieces last depends on how often you wear it, as well as the PH of your skin, exposure to chemicals, and frequent rubbing against other surfaces. Here are some tips to extend the life of your jewelry:
Wash your hands before putting on or taking off jewelry.
Put on jewelry after you’ve applied lotion, perfume or makeup. Perfume, hairspray and other types of lotion may contain harsh chemicals that can tarnish your jewelry overtime.
Avoid rubbing necklaces against each other and try to prevent rings from banging into each other or other metal objects.
Don’t swim in your jewelry or wear it when you’ll be sweating profusely
Use a jewelry cloth on your gold-filled pieces to bring back the sparkle that may have washed off with the water. This often happens after gold-filled jewelry comes in contact with water and soap.
Store your jewelry in a pouch separate from other jewelry so as to keep it free from oxidizing elements.
